This project will construct a traffic signal with pedestrian crossing signals, crosswalks, illumination and landscaping at 129th Ave SE and Newcastle Way if an evaluation supports the need. An initial study will be completed in 2008.
This project provides walkway improvements over time at various locations in the City. Prioritization for the improvements will be developed from the adopted future non-motorized plan.
This project includes construction of sidewalks, bike lanes, bus shelters and other improvements to the intersection of Coal Creek Parkway and Newcastle Way. Relocation and modification of the signal will be included.

This project will replace existing guardrails that are aging or constructed to sub-standard conditions and new guardrails where it is deemed necessary.
This project is an ongoing pavement resurfacing program of City streets with a goal of improving the overall pavement condition index for the City.

The City of Newcastle entered into an agreement with MacLeod Reckord to design a sports park facility at the old WSDOT property in Newcastle on SE 95th Way at the 126th block. Master Planning for the Sports Park Facility is nearing completion as the Preliminary Master Plan is being developed in more detail.

To date the steering team, the Parks Commission, and the public have had the opportunity to provide feedback and direction on the development of the master plan for the sports park at several meetings.
The next opportunity to view and provide comment on the preliminary master plan for the sports park is at the November 12, 2008 Parks Commission Meeting at 6pm.

This project is the construction and installation of a few new City park signs that will coordinate the sign design/image used for City historical markets.
This project is for replacement of the chain link fence at Newcastle Cemetery with an ornamental steel fence appropriate for this Historic Landmark.
