Case reports for the Newcastle Police Department are kept in the Records Unit of the King County Sheriff’s Office. You may pick up your report or request that it be mailed or faxed to you. It may take up to two weeks for a copy of the report to be available in the Records Unit. If you wish to have a report sent to you, mail a written request to:

Please enclose a self addressed, stamped envelope and include your case number in the request. Your request must be written and signed.

To have a report faxed to you, fax a written and signed request to 206-205-8286. Be sure to include your case number.

You may also pick up a copy of your report at the King County Courthouse at the address above. Please phone four hours in advance to ensure that the case report is available and a copy will be ready for you to pick up. If you do not know your case number, please have the following information ready when you call: date, location, type of case, and parties involved. The Records Unit will research the case number for you.

24-hour Abandoned Vehicle Hotline: 206-205-0969. This is a recorded message and asks for location, description (color and make), license number and approximately how long the vehicle has been there. If you prefer to talk directly with a person, call the non-emergency dispatch number at 206-296-3311. Abandoned vehicles may also be reported through the online reporting system or through an email to police@ci.newcastle.wa.us.
