New for this Year!

"Broadway at Boren" (Friday)

Get ready for your curtain call as Broadway is coming to Newcastle!!  Join us Friday night at Lake Boren Park as Newcastle Days debuts a live theatre production, “Broadway at Boren” featuring local talent performing excerpts from popular Broadway shows!  Prior to the show Evergreen City ballet will be showcasing a segment from their recent production, Fancy Nancy and the Mermaid Ballet followed by an opportunity to dance with them!  Stop by the Seattle Revival Center's Selfie Photo Area complete with Broadway props and costumes for a memorable picture!

Rain Garden Workshop (Saturday at 11AM)

We are hosting a hands on educational workshop during Newcastle Days!  In this FREE workshop, you'll learn how to test your soil, how to size your garden and which plants work best in rain gardens.  You'll also contribute to a permanent rain garden installation in Lake Boren Park!  Sign up here.

Open Mic for Youth Ages 12-18! (Saturday)

Sponsored by NYCE (Newcastle Youth Community Engagement)

We invite you to sign up for a 3-4 minute time slot to share your family-friendly talents. Singer-songwriters are welcome, as are dancers, jugglers, comedians, etc. Open mikes will be held on Saturday. Pre-register for a time between 12:30-1:15pm, or sign-up the day of to play between 5:30-6:00pm. First come first serve. Your creative skills are eagerly anticipated! Pickleball Tournament (Saturday)

New this year, will be a fun, semi-competitive Pickleball Tournament, one for beginners early in the day and another one later in the day for more serious players competing in doubles play.  Game time will be determined depending on number of participants.
