The Newcastle City Council has adopted the following objectives for the City’s economic direction:

Support Mutual Materials and the use of brick manufacturing at its site

Gain competitive advantage by promoting authenticity

Create a business and community complex that supports multiple uses
   
5  
Public projects should establish high design standards and encourage architectural character
