Newcastle Ordinance #2004-286 requires alarm monitoring companies to have a City Business License and an Alarm System Operator’s License to conduct business in Newcastle.

Monitoring companies must register and pay an annual fee for each alarm system they monitor in the City of Newcastle. Homeowners do not register their alarms, only the monitoring companies need to register.

Fines for police responses to False Alarms will also be assessed to the monitoring companies.

To register your company with the City of Newcastle, submit a City Business License Application and an Alarm Systems Operator License along with a listing of monitored devices located in the City and applicable fees to City Hall. We accept cash or check only.
