Lake Boren Park is the City of Newcastle's premiere community park.

The park consists of a looped walking paths, a children's play area, picnic shelters and a fishing dock. Lake Boren also features restrooms, two tennis courts, a basketball court, a sand volleyball court, and an expanded parking lot.

Lake Boren is host to a number of Community Events held throughout the summer, including Concerts in the Park, Moonlight Movies, Science Day and Newcastle Days.
