Parks Commission
The Parks Commission is comprised
of nine community members to volunteer their time and expertise
to serve as a review and advisory body to the City Council
on City-owned park planning, design, and construction, park
and facility development, renovation, trails and paths, recreation
program and special community events. The Commission performs
duties assigned annually by the council by way of a work
plan.
The Commission meets the second Wednesday of each month
at City Hall.

Candidates Sought
The City Council is seeking applicants for the Parks Commission to fill one position. Members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. Applicants must be a resident of the City of Newcastle and at least 18 years of age.
